Jesus' Crew

Meets weekly during school term time in Church on Sundays at 10:30 – we welcome all children who come to Sunday Morning Worship with their families and if you’re visiting we’d be especially happy to see you.  There is a Children's area at the front of Church to enable families with young children to feel more relaxed whilst they are in Church.  After sharing the first part of the service with the whole congregation we leave to have our own sessions.

The third Sunday in the month is normally an All Age Worship and so we remain with the rest of the congregation then, meeting together with some of our own activities at the front of the church.  We do not run during the school holidays, nor on the second Sunday in the month when there is Craft @ 4 in the afternoon, however we will have a few activities on hand in the front of the church.

Annual Report (February 2019)

Jesus Crew still runs a minimum of twice per month during term-time.  We have a few fantastic volunteers on the team and we use material from Scripture Union's 'Light Live'.  We welcome between 2 and 10 children to the sessions.

ChrisParry3WThe group meets in the Church every Thursday morning during the school term and welcomes all pre-school children and their carers.

Contact: Jennifer Rodhouse  (0118 978 5630)

The session runs from 9:30 to 10:45 am and can accommodate a maximum of 36 children.  The last session for the Autumn Term will be 19 December 2019 and we will start again on Thursday 9 January 2020.

The morning consists of a period of free play with a wide variety of toys and crafts, followed by a drink and a snack of fruit and a biscuit.  Then follows a music session with percussion instruments, songs and action rhymes.

The children have fun while their carers socialise and have the opportunity to make new friends.

Annual Report  (February 2019)

Wokingham Methodist Church Parent and Toddler Group welcomes babies and toddlers and their carers for a session of play, mid-morning snack and singing on Thursday mornings in term time.

Numbers attending the group are increasing as the building work in the town centre is almost completed.  We have been particularly pleased to welcome people who are new to Wokingham and have quite a multi-cultural mix with people from Bolivia, Columbia, the Philippines, Poland, Lithuania, Japan and the USA.

We are delighted that Chris, Enid and Barbara have joined us to lead the singing with such gusto!  Our Christmas party was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, particularly the visit by Father Christmas for which we must thank David Morgan.

As always, the smooth running of the Toddler Group is due to the commitment of the numerous volunteers in the team and a big thank you is due to them all.  I would also add a word of thanks to James who helped with the setting up and putting away when Jason was away last term.

We made a donation of £150 to Daisy's Dream, our local child bereavement charity based in Twyford.
